Mobile media will significantly outpace the Internet and other traditional media platforms -- especially in emerging and faster growth economies. A new report from Nielsen Wire, with research from The Cambridge Group, says: "Defying classic economic models, the demand for communication (cell phones) leads traditional media growth, signifying a global, disruptive phenomenon." Growth for the Internet will continue -- but at more predictable growth patterns.

Tide has announced that five-time Grammy Award winner Faith Hill is the new ambassador for its Tide Loads of Hope program. In 2005, the devastation of Hurricane Katrina inspired the launch of Tide Loads of Hope, a mobile laundry service that provides clean clothes to families affected by disaster. For nearly five years, Tide Loads of Hope has offered free laundry services to communities in the wake of major disasters like Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav, Ike, the California wildfires, and most recently the floods in Middle Tennessee and Pike County, KY. For Hill, who was born in Mississippi and now lives in Nashville, the Tide Loads of Hope program serves as an example of what people and companies can do to provide basic services to individuals in need.

It has been a long time since flight attendant was a glamorous job title. The hours are long. Passengers with feelings of entitlement bump up against new no-frills policies. Babies scream. Security precautions grate but must be enforced. Airlines demand lightning-quick turnarounds, so attendants herd passengers and collect trash with the grim speed of an Indy pit crew. Everyone, it seems, is in a bad mood.
